"The Shotgun Pellet" - 06/15/2016
Here at Today's Dental we see many patients who have encountered serious trauma to the face, mouth and/or teeth.
In one such case, a patient presented to our office with serious trauma to the face, teeth and gums as the result of an accidental shooting incident. A shotgun pellet was lodged in the tissue between the "baby tooth" and the mandibular premolar. The primary "baby tooth"molar suffered damage during the impact of the pellet. Dr. Sharp, using the WaterLase MD Laser was able to successfully remove the shotgun pellet and the patient recovered without any complications.
