Partial Dentures

Custom-made partial dentures fit seamlessly alongside your natural teeth and can be removed for cleaning. Today’s partials are comfortable and keep your other teeth from shifting into the space left by missing teeth, safeguarding you from further tooth decay and gum disease that could cause you to lose more teeth. Partials also will keep your natural teeth from becoming crooked or tilting into the gap, which can cause difficulty chewing, and jaw pain when you bite down. The Denture Procedure

Like the placement of dental bridges and crowns, the dentures placement process typically requires two visits to our office.  In the first visit, the dentist takes molds of the teeth and mouth, which he sends to our dental laboratory that will custom-craft the dentures.  When the dentures are ready, the patient returns to our office for a second visit.  In this visit, the dentist anchors the dentures to the gums or surrounding teeth (either with denture adhesive, dental implants, or bridges) and assures the dentures’ comfortable fit in the mouth.  Once in place, dentures allow patients to enjoy restored oral function.
